We can’t talk about ENERGY without talking about our LIMBIC SYSTEM. And if you didn’t already know, essential oils are quickly absorbed by smell receptors that directly connect to one of the most powerful areas of the brain: the limbic system. Not sure how powerful our limbic system is? The limbic system affects our moods, emotions, heart rate, blood pressure, and memories... so, it's kind of a big deal! Which is why essential oils are so effective to balance your moods and increase your energy.

ABOUT WILD ORANGE + PEPPERMINT

Wild Orange: A beautiful cleansing oil that supports toxin elimination from the body, stimulates the lymphatic system, eases anxiety, and uplifts the mood. Its powerful aroma is so energizing! Even just smelling it straight from the bottle leaves me feeling uplifted! 💃🏻 It's also called "The Oil of Abundance" and is beautiful to use alongside your manifesting, journalling and gratitude practices... it inspires abundance, fosters creativity, supports a positive mood, restores physical energy and aids in transitions

Peppermint: One of the most daily used essential oils ever. It is hugely beneficial in promoting regular body temperatures, support for head tension, tummy upset along with a thousand other things! Love this diffused for focus. doTERRA’s peppermint is the purest you will ever experience and is the highest in the constituent, menthol ... which is short form for: INSTANT energy boosting, INSTANT tension kicking, INSTANT digestive support, INSTANT tingles 😘

Research:

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

Some essential oils can pep you up, while others can calm you down. You will feel a shift in your mood within seconds!

You can either take the cap off and breathe in, or place a drop in between your hands, rub them together and inhale deeply, or diffuse them.

Diffusing essential oils is one of my favourite ways to balance my mood while also reducing the need to use toxic air fresheners in the house. (Which are one of the most toxic things you'll currently find in your home! Bleh.) But let’s talk about some more ways you’ll want to use them…

Wild Orange:

  • 2–4 drops in a diffuser helps boost your mood and improve the scent of the room.

  • Rub 1–2 drops into your palms and inhale to invigorate your mind and body.

  • Several drops applied into air vents to fill your house or car with a citrusy aroma.

  • 1–2 drops to baked goods, beverages, or your favorite entrée to create a zesty flavor.

  • Mix a couple drops with raw honey for immune-boosting benefits.

  • Add a couple drops to warm water with honey to help soothe irritated throat and boost your immune system.

  • Add to baking soda and coconut oil to make a toothpaste for fresher breath and a cleaner mouth.

  • Rub a drop on your hands for an instant hand sanitizer.

  • Combine with water in a spray bottle to clean surfaces.

Peppermint:

  • Add 1 drop of Peppermint and 1 drop of Wild Orange in your palm, rub your hands together, and take a big inhale. Instant wake-me-up.

  • Dilute with Fractionated Coconut Oil and trace over your temples, across your hairline, and the back of your neck for that pick-me-up you’ve been needing.

  • When you feel a headache coming on, add 1 drop in the palm of your hands, cup over your nose, and inhale.

  • Less than 1 drop is all you need for fresher breath

  • Give an inhale, and apply to the back of your neck before your next workout. It’s a proven performance booster

  •  Add a drop to your drinking water (hot or cold) - especially if you feel bloated/gassy.

  • Apply down the bridge of the nose to open airways, and affect limbic brain for focus + clearing

  • For total invigoration, take a drop on your thumb, put it on the roof of your mouth and inhale deeply.

  • Add to your recipes! Who doesn’t love Choc Peppermint Brownies?
